“What are you going to do? Everything, is my guess. It will be a little messy, but embrace the mess. It will be complicated, but rejoice in the complications.”
― Nora Ephron
My name is Steph and I like to write. Writing is an escape. Writing is creating. Writing is cathartic. Sometimes it’s hard to communicate the words you want to say out loud. Even when you have so much to say. That’s where writing saves you.
I knew I wanted to be a writer at the age of seven when I became obsessed with making my journal entries for my second grade class perfect right down to the punctuation. Years later, I discovered that you could actually get paid to work with words and knew I had found my calling. So I went to journalism school. And now my days are full of editing social media posts, talking to media, and putting words together, but in my spare time I can be found writing stories, watching “Saturday Night Live,” and obsessively talking about bands.
“Am I Watching Too Much TV?” is where you’ll find all that — film reviews, discussions on late-night comedy and sitcoms, funny essays, and general life thoughts. This is my love letter to all things — good and bad, big and small — that have an impact on my life.
